""American author Dan Brown's novel "Angels & Demons," published in 2000 was the first to feature symbologist Robert Langdon. And with that, director Ron Howard did an excellent job in positioning the film adaptation as the sequel to "The Da Vinci Code" with additional tweaking to the beginning of the film. Audiences will once again be astounded and thrilled by the rich Roman history embedded in the story and the clues that lead them to uncover the inevitable truth.

Showcasing many of the prominent tourist landmarks, it serves as a great tourism promo video that would entice many around the world to go pay a visit to Rome. But be aware that certain locations in the movie are replicates shot in Los Angeles. This time around, Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon (Hanks) jets off to Rome after the Pope's sudden death and the re-election through Papal Conclave. Four cardinals were kidnapped and an anti-matter time bomb is hidden within the Vatican City threatening to blow up the city. Using his intellects, Langdon is given the task of rescuing them and finding the anti-matter using the mysterious Path of Illumination.

As compared to "The Da Vinci Code" film, the pacing is faster giving you little time to breathe and absorb the intricate details. If you're not familiar with the book, you might get lost in translation with the many Biblical and scientific terms. But the excitement of piecing the clues together are indeed entertaining, as the race against time element to save Vatican City has Langdon constantly on the move.

It's been 3 years since we last saw Tom Hanks reprising his role as Langdon and this time looking better with his toned physique. The casts did a great performance including Scottish lad Ewan McGregor with his notable accent and devilish charms (pun intended). Shown in 2-D digital format, the film quality is much sharper, brighter and the colours more vivid than the 35mm file format, almost like a blu-ray movie.

When Langdon discovers evidence of the resurgence of an ancient secret brotherhood known as the Illuminati - the most powerful underground organization in history - he also faces a deadly threat to the existence of the secret organization's most despised enemy: the Catholic Church. When Langdon learns that the clock is ticking on an unstoppable Illuminati time bomb, he jets to Rome, where he joins forces with Vittoria Vetra, a beautiful and enigmatic Italian scientist. Embarking on a nonstop, action-packed hunt through sealed crypts, dangerous catacombs, deserted cathedrals, and even to the heart of the most secretive vault on earth, Langdon and Vetra will follow a 400-year-old trail of ancient symbols that mark the Vatican's only hope for survival.

When a murder of a physicist, Leonardo Vetra, finds a symbolist, Robert Langdon, and Mr. Vetra's daughter, Vittoria, on an adventure for a secret brotherhood, The Illuminati. Clues lead them all around the Vatican, including the four alters of science, Earth, Air, Fire and Water. An Assassin, working for the Illuminati, has captured four cardinals, and murders each, painfully. Robert and Vittoria also are searching for a new very destructive weapon that could kill millions.

Strangely though, the Illuminati was long thought to be extinct. Who is the mastermind? Who revived the Illuminati? What do they want? "" Source Google.com

Being one of the fast to be furious when Hugh Jackman was cast more than 10 years ago to play Wolverine in the "X-Men" movies, this writer may have some apologising to do today. We complained he was too tall and too handsome to play a character more animal than man. Studio suits would have never let this project kick off if Wolverine wasn't somewhat more charmingly marketable. Yet the fanboys wanted a short guy with an even shorter fuse to just let rip.

Today, we see the "Australia" star co-producing his own spinoff (series?), and we've all read the interviews where he said how the online leak of this movie was "heartbreaking". It is perhaps then, that even the most obstinate of fanboys realise that he does have the project close to his heart. He may still insist on looking sexy for the box office femme skew, and he may never be able to do what some method actor like Christian Bale can but we forgive him instantly when we see him charging so violently delicious towards Victor Creed a.k.a. Sabertooth, played by a stockier Liev Schreiber.

"X-Men Origins: Wolverine" is first and foremost a superhero action movie. It's not some gritty crime drama that can win awards outside costume designing. For that, you must applaud its focus. From the off, the pace steadily takes us through Wolverine's pre-X-Men years (still debated hotly today among comic fans) and the dastardly Weapon X programme that gave him those adamantium claws. Seeing that he's virtually indestructible, it also makes cinematic sense that we cut him someplace else - his heart, where (without risking a spoiler) one particular girl gets his goat.

One can imagine Sabertooth being one of the better translated characters in this flick from early visuals. Others like Deadpool and The Blob do not embarrass but Taylor Kitsch really takes the biscuit for being grossly miscast as Remy LeBeau, otherwise known as Gambit to all X-Men followers. There is little that is cavalier or cajun about the man and he soon gets lost in fancy fireworks. Lynn Collins (you might remember her playing fair Portia in 2004's "Merchant Of Venice") as Wolverine's girl however is surprisingly memorable. She even gets some cool lines to say.

A second Wolverine movie seems inevitable if you stayed and caught the extra bit at the end credits. Jackman can be proud of this product but handing it to someone like Christopher Nolan could make the next flick a modern classic. After all, Wolverine is undeniably one of the most marketable and striking characters from Marvel's universe.

Jackman has revealed how many people had told him how they want a meaner, bad ass Wolverine - but Hugh's a nice guy and his Wolverine is still a hopeless romantic no matter how many cigars he chomps. For all the correct measures of facial hair and toothy gnarls, an absolutely feral Wolverine appears just within Jackman's range if the man gets his sequel.
